CARTES Paris 2014 Day 1 Recap

By Kristin Eckmann, Director Brand & Communications

Nov 4, 2014

Another year at CARTES Paris and we are off to a great start to the show! Day one kicked off to very exciting news regarding Datacard Group and Entrust.

We announced today that we have united the two companies under one unified corporate brand. Our new company name is now Entrust Datacard, and we are bringing this new corporate brand to life with a new corporate identity, new corporate colors and a new tagline.

This all came to life at CARTES this year as we celebrate decades of industry experience and the alignment of two industry leaders. The launch of Entrust Datacard will drive important innovations for the markets we serve. We are combining our considerable industry expertise and technical depth to create the solutions you will need as the world continues to grow more connected and more mobile.

Our main focus at the show has been defined by the end-user and the connected world we now live in. Our stand showcased how we help the connected consumer, citizen and employee as they increasingly expect anywhere-anytime experiences — whether they are making purchases, crossing borders, accessing e-gov services or logging onto corporate networks. Entrust Datacard makes all of these ecosystems that allow this freedom and flexibility to be entirely reliable and secure, and provides trusted identity and secure transaction technologies that make these ecosystems possible.

Thanks to everyone who visited our stand and we look forward to the next two days of the show!
